About Sound of the Toon

From as long as I can remember, music has been the only thing I wanted to be involved in when I was older…

Obviously I haven’t managed to become a rockstar just yet.

​

I started Sound of the Toon because I am a Northumbria University student who believes Newcastle and the North East has so much more to offer to the music industry than people may think. 

​

There just needs to be somebody to spread the word.

​

And that’s where I come in.

​

I want to speak to artists and find out what they’re really about, not the artificial rubbish. I’ve had enough of artist’s personalities being based off of a marketing plan.

​

If you are an artist from the North East, or an artist that plans to come to the North East to perform, join me.

It’s time to bring the Real Northern Touch back to music.
